According to China Daily, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) recently released a series of online service tools to facilitate patent application process and other related information access for users.

An app called "Patent Butler", also the first one launched by SIPO, was among this release. Besides, there exists a corresponding website designed for smartphone users. It is said that this new mobile program was designed based on the existing patent service system under SIPO, which provides a series of functions including exchanging priority data and requesting priority examination.

Another online platform launched on the same day is the CPRS Plus, which is an updated version of the first Chinese patent search system CPRS and designed for international users. As China has ranked top of the world in patent filings for five consecutive years, its expanded invention data stockpile carries a growing weight with researchers and scientists. This multi-language information platform provides access to tap into the data reservoir.

In addition, the Public Patent Platform of Agency Services officially went online, where patent agencies provide consultation and other services. Highlighted by special designs for overseas aid, this portal is expected to help Chinese companies learn more about legal environments and industry developments abroad. Free services may be available to startups that meet given requirements on the website, which is part of initiatives by SIPO for boosting creation from high-tech startups, colleges and primary schools.
